Life is sure getting in the way of my writing these days. I must remedy that.
Here is a quote that sums up my childhood...
"Everyone thought I was shy, but really, I was just an asshole" (by the way, I am the one who said that)
I remember the year I started kindergarden. It was a pretty exciting time for everyone around me. I, however, was not impressed by this whole "kindergarden" idea. My teacher was a crabby old lady in polyester and the sun was often in my eyes on the bus ride home. That year at Grandma's annual Christmas dinner, everyone was asking me about kindergarden and starting school and blah blah blah. I remember gazing up at them in silence and wondering what everyone's problem was. I thought "everyone goes to school, what's the big deal?" and "why does everyone keep asking me the same questions?!" I just wanted to hang out with my grandma in peace and talk about more interesting things...like how other kids were allowed to swear and how I did not approve.
