Last night I headed up to the studio to work on a pair of drawings for my class. The assignment is to draw a room at two different times of the day, using colored pencil and incorporating 2 point perspective. The only thing that is challenging about this assignment is the colored pencil part. I have not mastered colored pencil yet and find it to be quite time consuming.
So, I turned on my Pandora radio and created a Michael Jackson station. For those of you not familiar with Pandora Radio, you can type in a song or artist and the radio will play songs and artists that are similar to what you typed in. So, as it turns out, I had a harder time concentrating due to the random spurts of dancing and lip syncing... Regardless, I got 3 hours of drawing time in and I am feeling pretty good about the progress I made.
All this Michael Jackson reminded me of the time I borrowed the Thriller VHS from the library in high school for the sole purpose of learning the choreography. This is just more proof that I was born in the wrong era. Thriller was released November of 1982, and I was born in 1981... I was learning the dance in 1998. wtf?
