Ribbon in the sky

A little Sir Duke in the morning can be just as effective as a fresh cup of coffee.

I have to talk about a great gal I met when I called the Windstream customer service line the other day. In the past, we have had internet and phone service through Windstream. We decided to cancel because we were paying 30 bucks for a phone line we didn't use. When I called to cancel, the rep. was a total asshole, so that was my last impression of that company.

This time around, Windstream was offering internet service for a great price that did not require us to pay for phone service. Before calling to get this put into place, I had already decided that if the rep. was in anyway annoying, bitchy or stupid, I would simply hang up and we would continue to live without the internet. To my surprise, the representative was far from annoying! She talked like a human...unlike the robots I usually encounter, and actually had a sense of humor. I started to answer her questions "Do you currently have internet service?" "No", I replied. "Do you have a phone line?" "No, we're Amish...just kidding, we're not really Amish" From there, she told me a great story about an Amish man who called to get wireless or something! He was calling from a phone booth at the end of his property!! So there you go... an Amish guy had the internet before the Hartmans!

The point is, this gal and I could have been great friends had we met in real life, not on the customer service line that was being monitored! I learned that she has a crazy dalmatian and drives a 1969 VW bug...with no moon roof. Her personality was great! My husband teased that I made a love connection, and wondered why I was talking about our crazy dogs to a customer service representative.

Needless to say, I didn't hang up and we should be back online by Friday.

The end,
Zoma
