I have learned over the years that it is best practice to give people a chance. Being quick to criticize is usually a mistake and having an open mind makes your life easier.
Over the past year, I have met some incredible people only because I consciously made an effort to forgive them for their flaws and open my mind to better see the person they are.
There have been some people in my life who I have given second chances to. So far, only a couple of them have been worth it. Giving a second chance is always a risk. In my experience it either works out extremely well or causes great pain.
