Shake the Disease

Does it mean anything to you that this photograph was taken in the Super K bathroom almost ten years ago? It means something to me... it means that I am ten years older and pay a professional cut my hair for me. It means that it doesn't make sense that at this age I refused to listen to anything that was recorded after 1985...and it was the year 1999. I have always lived in the past.
The night this picture was taken was not so eventful. I had gone to my favorite coffee shop to write in my journal and pretend that I wasn't in high school when my dearest best friend made a surprise visit. She was in college 2 hours away, but was bored, and drove home for the night. When she arrived, we promptly got in my 1984 mercury lynx station wagon and drove to the local Super K. I have no idea what we purchased that night, but I can tell you that photographic magic happened and a night with little to no significance was engraved in my brain. I am confident that i will remember it until I die. I remember a lot of regular days and am glad to have the gift of a phenomenal memory.
