I have left the workforce. It started out as a decision I did not have control over, but has ended with me making a life changing decision that will allow me to explore options and unleash my creative side to the fullest extent.
I was let go from a job I did not love. A place with small minds and hypocritical views. I was lucky enough to have met a couple of managers who impacted both my life and career in positive ways, but when that positive vibe was detected it was quickly extinguished with punishment to follow. This was not the place for me but I was too fearful to end this abusive relationship called "work"on my own.
I looked into a couple of similar jobs and realized quickly that I do not love what I do. I learned that I am not a person who can work for a paycheck because I put my heart and energy into everything that I do. It's just how I am made.
I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a job that will allow me to roll the way I roll, but until then, I plan on spending the summer gardening, making art and helping others. My heart has a history of guiding me to the right places, so why should I doubt it now?
Going off the grid has never felt so good.
